SEETHINK Lab

Dedicated to the research of what we see, and once we see it, how it influences us.

THE GENETIC CODE OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Reconnecting us to where photography began, so we can better understand where we are, and where we're going.

Zero Baseline of Photography is a public platform mapping the genetic code of photography. It curates and contextualises verified first photographs: images that mark pivotal moments in the medium's scientific and artistic evolution. From Niépce to NASA, from the first X-ray to the first image of a black hole.

Zero Baseline is the primary research subject of SEETHINK Lab. The Lab is the observer. The collection is the observed. Every study, every workshop, every observation exercise draws from this verified record.

What Is Zero Baseline

Theory. Practice. Research.

SEETHINK® METHOD

The SEETHINK Method, an original framework exploring the intricate relationship between visual observation and experience. Four observational positions, two complementary modes.

OBSERVATION WORKSHOPS

Two original instruments, the One Minute Exposure and the Experience Enhancer. Documented findings from structured observation workshops. An open door to participate.
